IEC60601 Programmable Leakage Current Tester. IEC 60601-1 — medical electrical equipment — general requirements for basic safety and essential performance. Leakage current measurement is one of the core electrical safety tests of IEC 60601-1 clause 8.7: the equipment is energised at the worst-case supply condition and the current through the measuring device is compared with the allowable values. This unit is built by Kingpo for bench use in a medical electrical safety laboratory, and it is supplied with a calibration certificate.

How a test run works

Configure the supply condition and the measuring device arrangement the clause requires.
Connect the equipment under test, including any applied part and earth reference.
Select or program the sequence: normal condition first, then the single-fault conditions.
Run, capture the readings and compare them with the allowable values in the standard.
Store or print the result set; the test report needs every condition, not just the pass.
